This is what resilience feels like.

Intentional transformation rooted in evidence-based therapy

Do you:

  • get easily overwhelmed or anxious?

  • feel blocked in your artistic career?

  • suffer from imposter syndrome?

  • hold shame or trauma around your LGBTQ+ identity?

  • think you are unworthy or unlovable, no matter what anyone says?

  • find yourself held back by old or painful experiences?

  • keep yourself distracted to avoid big emotions?

You don’t have to feel like this.

Human beings are creatures of habit. We tend to go back again and again to the coping skills that keep us going, no matter how they make us feel. Sometimes, it takes a few tries to shake up an old pattern and change how we experience our lives.

That’s where therapy comes in. We can work side-by-side to identify the changes you want to make in your life, create a plan, and use research-supported methods to follow through.

We’ll start with a free 15-minute consultation so that we can learn more about each other and I can share how I may be able to help you.

A little about me

I am a therapist grounded in social work principles of authenticity, non-judgement, competence, and advocacy. I believe in a modern kind of therapy: one where we can laugh together, fit the setting to meet your needs, or even take a walk while we’re talking. My approach is conversational while also being trauma-informed. You can expect me to bring my genuine self to every session, while always maintaining the boundaries and structure required for good, safe therapy.

I am a woman with lived experience personally and professionally in diverse socio-economic environments and the LGBTQ+ community. This informs and guides my practice each day. I am an advocate for racial and economic justice and reproductive rights. I love my partner, my cats, and cooking.

  • Individual Therapy

I provide 50-minute individual sessions to adults (age 18 and over). I offer weekly sessions, as this is shown in the research to be the most clinically effective frequency. I am licensed to provide therapy only to New York state residents.

Currently, I provide virtual sessions through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth program.

  • Walk & Talk Therapy

Physical activity and being outside have been linked to improved mood and lowered anxiety. Not to mention, sometimes sitting behind a screen is not the most effective way to get your thoughts out. I offer scheduled individual sessions with adults that take place outside while walking. You set the pace and let me know if we need to take a break. You do not have to choose exclusively between traditional or walking sessions. (Weather-dependent, must be in NYC area.)

  • Group Therapy

I provide multiple types of group therapy for folks who are seeking support or a different therapy approach. Participants in group therapy are screened in an individual session to ensure clinical appropriateness for the particular group. Current and upcoming groups can be found here.

  • Consultation

I have extensive experience in case management, clinical supervision, and staff capacity building. I am available to provide clinical consultation and trainings for clinical and non-clinical staff at your agency. Previous trainings include verbal de-escalation, suicide assessment and prevention, LGBTQ+ cultural competency/sensitivity, Trans-specific health care, and assessment/diagnosis for mood, anxiety, personality, substance use, and trauma disorders.

Additionally, I have my SIFI certification, making me able to supervise social work interns in New York through college field education offices, as a third party contractor with community agencies.
