Frequently asked questions.

Do you work with children?

I primarily work with adults 18 and older. I do have experience with older adolescents, and I will consider an adolescent 16 or older on a case-by-case basis.

What do you specialize in?

I have extensive experience with trauma work, including evidence-based treatments like Cognitive Processing Therapy and Seeking Safety. I also specialize in treating anxiety, particularly where it is related to health/medical concerns, career stress, family conflict, and low self-esteem.

I have particular experience working with folks in the LGBTQ+ community, including concerns with questioning identity, coming out, social/medical transition, and relationship difficulties. I do provide medical transition procedure letters for ongoing clients.

All of my work is influenced by Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, which primarily focuses on emotional resilience and stability.

What is your cancellation policy?

In order to best respect the therapeutic process, as well as your time and mine, I require at least 48 hours notice for session cancellation. If you need to cancel, I will do my best to reschedule with you in the same week. No-show appointments and late cancellations without rescheduled appointment in the same week are charged the full session rate.

How do I schedule an appointment?

I’m excited to get to know you! When you’re ready to get started, you can contact me by phone or through email here. We will begin with a free 15-minute consultation so that you can share a little about you, and I can answer any questions you have.
